Health Checks and Vaccinations
We are committed to the life-long care of your pet and part of this comes through routine health checks made annually from the early stages of your pet’s life, through their adolescence and through middle age into old age. Regular health checks are essential and help us pick up any potential problems before they become a major problem and allowing us to recommend preventative measures to keep your pet happy and healthy.
The health check will include as assessment of your pet’s eyes, ears, mouth, teeth and coat. We will listen to their heart and lungs, check their abdomen for any obvious abnormalities and feel for any unusual lumps or bumps too. Remember your pet can’t always tell you if there is a problem, especially in the early stages. Picking up potential problems early means that you could save money in the long run too if a problem is picked up before it becomes a major issue.
As part of the health check, we’ll keep a record of your pet’s weight and advise you on weight loss, exercise and diet if that is required to keep your pet healthy.
Of course it is important to keep vaccinations up to date and so the price includes a health check at every vaccination appointment.
